A.    Definisi dan Tujuan

2.      Memilih Jenis Desain Studi Kasus

Didalam studi kasus terdapat beberapa desain diantaranya multiple ataupun single-cases desain.

1.      Peninjauan Langsung (direct observation) seperti menganalisa sebuah fenomena atau suatu kejadian.
2.      Wawancara
3.      Rekaman

How To Quote

22.56 Posted by Unknown 1 comment
Citations are lending a sentence or someone's opinion of an author or someone who is very well known such as from books, newspapers, magazines, or electronic media. The function as a evidence or reinforce the authors' opinion. It is difference with  ‘copy’.  Copy is taking the opinions of others without mention the author name of the sources then they paste it in theirs (cheater). Cheater often called a plagiarist.

Aim :

  • As a theoretical basis for our writing
  • As an explanation
  • Can be used as reinforcing the opinion that we did.

There are two kind of quotation:
  •  Direct Quotation
  •  Indirect  Quotation (By Paraphrasing)

00.10 Posted by Unknown 5 comments

Become a Translator and Interpreter are the desire of everyone who master more than one language and for those who understand how to express the target language. However, there are not everybody that master more than one language could be an interpreter and translator at once, because there are several different qualifications between them. For the people who have the ability in translating a variety of books and documents, then he can become a translator. But , for those who have a great ability in public speaking and confidence that he could become an interpreter.  The question is ‘what are the similarities, differences, and the requirements if we want to be an interpreter and translator, isn’t it?’ Okay, in my post this time, I will discuss some of the similarities, differences, and the requirements if we want to be a Translator and Interpreter.

First of all, I will discuss about the similarities and differences between both of them. To be a Translator and Interpreter, you have to understand lots of vocabularies and the cultures of the target language. By understanding both of it, you will be easy  in translating the difficult words and sentences of the target language such as the proverb, slang, and idiom. Not only that, the two of jobs are also have a big risk for you. It’s mean, if you are wrong in interpreting and translating something, then you will have a big problem! A big problem that you will lost your job or a big problem for the thing that you have translate and interpret  for.

There are some differences between Translator and Interpreter that we need to know. Being an interpreter is tougher than a translator. why do I say that? As we know that an interpreter have to interpret everything directly (on the spot) with no time to think first. As the examples are interpreters at the United Nation, where they have to interpret all the words of all the delegates from around the world like the photo below.

However, in contrast with the translator. They are easier to translate various documents and books because they have some time to think first. Not only that, the translator are also have the opportunity to look up the words from variety of sources like dictionary in translating something. However, for an interpreter there is no chance at all to use the helping tools such as a dictionary in interpreting something.

If you want to be a translator and interpreter, there are some requirements that you have to be master. First, to be a translator, besides you have to understand the target language and culture of the language, you are also should have the ability about how  to write with  grammatical correct. Not only that, you also have to understand  lots of knowledge such as math, chemistry, photography, and various fields that you want translate.

Next, to be an interpreter, there are a lot of requirements that you have to be master. firstly, you should have a high level of concentration and self-confidence and also good in public speaking. Need to remember, if you want to interpret anything try not to be panic at all because it can mess up your concentration levels. Secondly, you also should be able to control your nervousness because you should interpret the words of the speakers directly with the speed reaction without delay at all. In addition, it is important for you to have a good  ability of analyzing everything. You are also should have a high level of intellectual curiosity. The last one, you only need to be master the ability to express thoughts with a good and clear voice.

For your information, interpreter is divided into two types. what is the difference between two of it? Please watch the YouTube videos below to find out the answer.

1. Simultaneous Interpreter (Directly)

2. Consecutive Interpreter (Take note first)

Briefly, to be a translator and interpreter, you must know all the requirements of the two. Not just know, but you also should master it. To master it, you just need to practice regularly. By mastering all the things that I have described above. I guarantee you can be a professional Translator and Interpreter one day.

HOW TO PARAPHRASE

05.27 Posted by Unknown 1 comment

In making a thesis, plagiarism is prohibited because it is a crime. Thus, it has become the rule for all students to avoid plagiarism, including me and my friends. After I learned about how to avoid plagiarism and ensure that the our thesis are far from it, there is only one way that is a paraphrase. Paraphrase it is taking the idea of someone with our own language style. In fact, there are so many cases where someone takes the others ideas from various sources such as books, journals, and articles and then they claimed it was their own ideas. It is really not fair to the original author and it is same like a crime, isn’t it? okay, this time I would like to share a little about my understanding of EAP class to all of you about how to do the correct paraphrasing.
